Windows 98 Dial-Up Networking

The following pages contain information on how to configure Dial-Up Networking in Windows 98 to allow you to connect to your Channel 1 Account. Please follow these steps carefully. We've split this section into several pages because each page contains a number of screen-shots to help walk you through the process. Give the pages time to load if you are on a slow connection.

STEP 1: Installing Dial-Up Networking - Most of you will already have Dial-up Networking Installed, and should skip this step entirely.

STEP 2: Creating a Dial-Up Icon - a crucial step!

STEP 3: Configuring the Network Control Panel - an also not to be missed step.

STEP 4: Getting Connected - The Final Step.

ADDITIONAL STEPS: Downloading Software for Windows 98 - most of you will have plenty of software on your computer already to get started with. But what if you don't? For those of you who just felt four steps weren't enough.
