Find PPP in Control Panels, which you can access via the apple menu.
Enter your username and password here; check "Save Password" if you
want PPP to remember your password. Enter the phone number you were

Redialing can be off, or on if you like. If the modem encounters a busy signal, or does
not connect properly it will automatically dial again if Redialing is on;
it is better to keep this off while you're setting up your connection. Click the Connection tab... |

Configure as shown; if you check "Disconnect as idle..." your connection may
be interrupted during telnet or ftp. Click the Protocol tab |

Configure as shown. Make sure "Connect to a command-line host" is not checked. Click OK... |

Go Back to Control Panels and bring up your Modem Control Panel. Be sure the correct modem and port are displayed. If you download new driver files from your modem manufacturer, change "Modem:" to the new driver. |
