About us

The Channel 1® billing cycle begins on the first day of each calendar month. Newly signed up accounts may expect their first billing to be issued on the first day of the month following their signup. Your first bill will include setup fee (if applicable), pro-rated monthly charge from the date the account was enabled, plus, the current monthly billing charge.

All accounts may be paid by AmEx, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Invoice, or Company P.O.

All bills and account requests should be sent to:

Channel 1 Communications
P.O. Box 380338
Cambridge, MA 02238-0338

DUE date for INVOICES is 15 days after receipt of bill.
DUE date for CHARGES is at the time of the charge.* (On or around the first of the month.)
When a credit card charge is declined,* or an invoice payment has not been received by the due date, the service will be disabled. If we receive your late payment within the same billing cycle, we will restore your service without a penalty charge.
*We try to contact DECLINED or INVALID credit card customers by e-mail before disabling the account, but cannot guarantee that we always will, or that you will have read your e-mail. It is the CARD HOLDER'S responsibility to keep a valid card on file with Channel 1 if he/she wishes to be assured of uninterrupted service.
Lastly, please note that accounts unpaid for one whole billing cycle will not only be disabled, but may be deleted at the start of the next billing cycle. We strongly recommend that you keep backups of the files in your directory, not only as a good practice, but also because Channel 1 is NOT responsible for maintaining backups on accounts.

To terminate your account, Channel 1 must receive your request in writing, either by U.S. Mail, by Fax, or by sending an e-mail to billing@channel1.com directly from your Channel1 account only. Your request must include the username and your full name, and may optionally include reason for cancellation. Please include which services you wish to cancel in your request. Termination will take effect on the first of the following calendar month. Please note that closing an account in the middle of a billing cycle will not entitle you to a refund for any remaining time that month.

Channel 1 reserves the right to CANCEL any account, at any time, for any reason. This is a policy that we do not use much, and hope not to have to use.

If you have any questions about this policy, please contact Channel 1 at 617-864-0100 or send e-mail to billing@channel1.com
