a LAN connection, you will need to use the SMTP server which that provider has setup.
Incoming Mail (POP3) Server is pop.channel1.com.
POP3 User Name is your username for Channel1. Make sure it is in lowercase.
News (NNTP) Server is news1.channel1.com and is required if you plan to use Netscape News.
Next, select the Identity tab.
Your Name should be filled out with your real name.
Your Email is your user/login name followed by @channel1.com For example if your user/login name is johndoe, then the email address should be johndoe@channel1.com. If you have an alias to your own domain name, then your email address could be johndoe@yourdomain.com.
Reply-to Address can be left blank if it is the same as your email address.
To check mail, click the Get Mail button (first on left) on the tool bar or click under File -> Get New Mail in the menu bar. Netscape Mail will prompt you for your password and proceed to check for your mail. All new
messages will automatically be placed in your Inbox. Double click on a message
to read it. If you want Netscape to remember your mail password, go to the menu bar, click under Options -> Mail and News Preferences and select the Organization tab. Check the box that says "Remember Mail Password."
To create a new mail message, go to the menu bar and click File -> New Mail Message, or click on the "To: Mail" button in the tool bar. A New Message window will pop up. Enter
the recipient's e-mail address and subject title when prompted. Compose your
e-mail message. When you are done, click on the "Send" button on the left of the tool bar to mail it or go to the menu bar, click on File -> Send Now. A copy of your sent message may appear in your "Sent" folder.
