1. Double clicking the Eudora icon will bring up the main Eudora window. Since you
have not yet configured Eudora, if prompted for a password to check mail,
click Cancel.
2. From the Eudora menu, go to Special | Configuration.

The POP accountmust be your user/login name followed by
@pop.channel1.com For example if your user/login name is johndoe
, then the POP Account entry should be johndoe@pop.channel1.com
If you have an additional mailbox off of another account, then use the user/login
name for that additional mailbox, for example, moremail@pop.channel1.com
Name should be filled in appropriately.
SMTP Server is pop.channel1.com
*Note, you must be directly
connect to Channel 1 to use our SMTP server. If you connect through another provider or
a LAN connection, you will need to use the SMTP server which that provider has setup.
Return Address: For individuals without a domain name, the Return
Address will be johndoe@channel1.com(yes....this is
different than the POP account but dont worry about that). If your business has
a domain name (yourcompany.com) registered with Channel 1, the Return
Address will be johndoe@yourcompany.com.
If in addition to a domain name, your company also has an e-mail alias,
the Return Address will be alias@yourcompany.com
It is important to remember that the Return Address is your official e-mail
address at Channel 1.
To check mail, go to File | Check Mail, enter the appropriate
password when prompted. Eudora will proceed to check for your mail and all new
messages will automatically be placed in your In Box. Double click on a message
to read it.
To create and send a new mail message, go to Message | New Message, and enter
the recipient's e-mail address and subject title when prompted. Compose your
e-mail message. When you are done, click Send to mail it.

The above information is the bare minimum needed to set up your Eudora e-mail
software. There are of course many other options and settings which the user is
encouraged to experiment with. If the Help documentation is not sufficient, it is
